A Review Of The Best Quick Weight Loss Diets

One of the issues that we can read often in professional journals on diet and nutrition is what are the most popular quick weight loss diets, that are more accepted and have been in the preferences of the audience for many years. Although usually these diets can not be maintained for a long time, these systems have been analyzed by experts in diet and nutrition, and are recommended as a good choice to help in weight loss. Usually the ads offer a great variety of these quick weight loss diets, but let's see what are the best known.

The Atkins Diet
The Atkins Diet, boomed in popularity a few years ago, and basically proposes an intake based almost exclusively proteins, with very few carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables. This diet has always generated controversies, which are mainly based on the fact that this system can cause deficiencies of certain nutrients, and vitamins. It is also objected that a diet based on meat, cheese, and eggs may increase the cholesterol levels and hypertension risks.
During the first phase the patient can eat meat, cheese, eggs, oils, margarine, fish, and a small serving of vegetables. In the other stages of the diet, you can gradually incorporate more vegetables, but always with very little fruit intake. This diet promises a rapid weight loss, but many experts say that some people can suffer of muscle mass loss, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

The South Beach Diet
This diet was created by Dr. Arthur Agatston, originally intended for slimming patients with cardiovascular problems. This diet promises a rapid weight loss of between 3-6 kilos in the first 15 days. It has three stages, and is a low calorie diet. The first phase lasts 14 days, and you can eat lean meats (beef, chicken, and fish), lean cheese, skim milk, vegetables, oils, gelatins, beverages and sugar. In the second step, you can eat small servings of bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, and fruit. The third stage is of maintenance, and can be maintained for as long as the patient wishes to maintain a proper weight, following the instructions of The South Beach Diet

The Lemonade Diet
Known in its early days as the Master Cleanse Diet, this system was used to detoxify the body of accumulated waste, originated by a poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle. This is a liquid diet and involves taking a daily drink containing lemon, water, organic maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. The diet also includes an intake of a mixture of water and salt in the morning early . You can continue with this system for a period of 5-14 days. It is a fasting system, and therefore should be followed closely by a nutritionist. It basically has the support of the  fasting supporters, and the opposition of those who think that fasting can cause dizziness, vomiting, headache, loss of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and a reduction of the muscle mass.

All medical recommendations are worthy of consideration, but it is also true that with balance and moderation, we can eat all kinds of food and maintain our health and proper weight throughout life.

Some specific herbal supplements and natural remedies  are indicated to increase our vitality, and are a very efficient method to restore the strengh.
